Day 1: Mill Valley to Monterey
Date: Thursday, January 12, 2023
Roll: 7:30 from Holiday Inn Express in Mill Valley, or 8:15ish from Equator on the South side of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Lunch: Artichoke bread in Pescadero, lunch somewhere in Aptos.
Dinner: Whole Foods in Monterey or the restaurant in the Hyatt, which is actually pretty decent. Eat at your own leisure.
Notes: If you’d like to drop off your bags the night before please meet at the Holiday Inn Express at 8pm on the 11th. Otherwise, you can drop bags the morning of at both the Holiday Inn Express and at Equator on the bridge.
Please be considerate of your bag size. We have a big group this year and there’s limited space, for sure.
Day 2: Monterey to Paso Robles

Hotel: Lots of options. Staying near the town square would be ideal. The Paso Robles Inn, which is very nice, is about $250. I’m going to try a new hotel in Paso called The Piccolo. A little more $ but supposedly very nice and directly across from Spearhead Coffee.

Lunch: There isn’t a lot along this route, so please plan accordingly! Grab something at Whole Foods the day before.
Dinner: There are many places to eat in Paso. Sadly no Whole Foods, but finding a heightened dining experience shouldn’t be difficult. I may try Il Cortile next to the hotel. If anyone would like to join we can have a reservation of up to 10 people. For other dining experiences I’d recommend checking out this page.
Notes: This is the detour around Big Sur. We did something similar to this in 2017, but instead of riding those terrible roads through Salinas we go through the gorgeous Carmel Valley then drop in to the Paso valley. Another long, but beautiful day. Hoping that being East of the mountains will shield us from some rain, too.
Day 3: Paso Robles to Los Olivos

Notes: If you can splurge on this hotel, please do so. They’ve agreed to extend a $700/night room rate to our group with is nearly half off, I believe. This day is wonderfully short so you can actually soak up how rad this place is.
If you’re not staying here, please plan on coming back for dinner, at least. We will also be rolling from here in the morning which allows us to start on Foothill road, skirting the hustle of DT Santa Barbara.
Day 5: Santa Barbara to Calabasas
